I’m a Sol fan so I had to read your poem when she shared it and I’m so so thankful I did. I saw myself and my own babies throughout. So happy I stumbled upon your page, I’ll be around and would love to support one another in this space. Thank you for sharing your art. 🫶🏻
Thank you for leaving such a generous message. I’m so glad the poem made you think of your own babies… what a beautiful thing to share. So grateful Sol led you my way! 🫶🏻✨
Im so happy you shared this with me its precious. The little space buns and worthy dandelions parts. What a wonderful children are. Whew. Im tearing up. 🥲👌❤️❤️❤️
Knowing it resonated with a parent makes sharing it all the more special. Wishing you and your daughters many more sweet, memory-filled moments together!
It’s really good! Everything is a source of awe and novelty to a baby. It’s fun to imagine how they see the world—so many ordinary things must seem absolutely magical. Thanks for sharing!
This is exactly what I hoped to capture, how the tiniest, most ordinary things feel like magic through their eyes. So glad that came through in the poem!
Ah, so beautiful, so pure. I’m a great grandmother and was transported back to a time when my grown children were just babes. Thank you for that. Life is still so busy that I forget to stop… and reflect. The greatest gift is still viewing the world through the eyes of a child with innocence, wonder and beauty.
Sarah, this is such a gentle, radiant piece. It carries both the lightness of a child’s wonder and the weight of an adult’s wistfulness. You capture that in-between world so well—where discovery is fresh, and nothing is filtered through performance. The imagery is vivid, grounding us in the sensory details of early childhood, while the closing stanzas gently guide us toward reflection. It's a rare thing, to write a poem that feels both universal and deeply personal. I hope this is just the beginning of many more you’ll share.
Sharing a poem for the first time felt daunting, so your encouragement truly means the world. It’s inspiring me to keep going and share more. Thank you! 💛
This made my day, and the ending really made me tear up. The line "her fist opens, and a worm falls out, a giggle escapes at her mother’s surprised shout." made me chuckle. I'm so honored to have sparked inspiration for this. Thank you so much for sharing!!!!!
I’m so touched that it made you feel something (and made you laugh too!) Your daughter’s presence in that image was pure magic—I just followed the feeling. 💛
